When Damion supported Rakuten’s Englishnization Project empathy and a holistic approach to teaching was essential for his students learning English and working in a high octane environment. Engineers at Rakuten go the extra mile and as such often spend long, sedentary hours in front of a PC. Damion felt that gentle yoga and meditation would not only remedy fatigue, but rejuvenate and refresh hardworking staff. With enthusiasm and élan, he introduced his colleagues to practical asanas and breathing techniques. The positive response compelled him to lead classes for staff at the Rakuten yoga club. 2016 marks the third year Damion will offer his fun, uplifting, and unique Reggae Yoga to guests at Rakuten’s Technology Conference. A certified Yogic Arts instructor pursuing an advanced degree at the University of Oxford, Damion is presently teaching at a private school in Kyoto.
